The Hope Center for Autism Wish List

Below is a compiled list of items from staff, therapist, and parents that The Hope Center feels will be beneficial to the educational environment and outcome of the students. 
The funds that will be allotted to this wish list will come directly from donations and/or fundraising.  Based on an assessment of the school’s budget and needs, the Executive Director will purchase the items that cannot be donated. 

Due to a high need in our community to open doors for even more young
children with Autism, donations and fundraising efforts are needed for a larger facility.

 Four digital cameras with SD cards for creating visual supports in the classrooms  

Four Nintendo DSs to use as positive reinforcement for appropriate behaviors in the classrooms
One camcorder that will be used for student observations, staff trainings, and teaching behavioral strategies to students

10 IPADS to be used as educational technology in the classrooms

Portable DVD and CD players to be used in the classrooms as reinforcers and therapy tools

 Approximately $2,000: for tables and chairs used for parent trainings, community outreach, etc.

  Approximately $17,000: for an additional full time staff to rotate through the classrooms when staff is absent and to help with maintaining our daily low staff to student ratios. 

  Approximately $20,000:  for a school vehicle that in needed to complete CBI (Community Based Instruction) and transport the student and staff to fieldtrips.
