From tropical luaus to pretend plane rides, you'll help students with autism learn how to:

Take turns during travel-themed games

Use communication devices to plan and pack

Build friendships while exploring exciting destinations

Practice flexibility, fun, and teamwork—all while having a blast!

As a Peer Mentor, you’ll:

Model social and communication skills

Encourage campers to join in and try new things

Help create a safe, silly, and supportive vibe

Earn volunteer hours and enjoy pizza Thursdays!

Get ready to pitch a tent, build (pretend) campfires, and help our students survive social situations in the great outdoors—right here at Survivor Camp: Vacation Edition!

During Camping Week, you’ll guide students with autism through nature-themed games and activities that teach:

Sharing and turn-taking around the "campfire"

Teamwork and problem-solving during scavenger hunts

Using communication devices to tell stories, make s’mores, and plan adventures

Being flexible and trying new things in a safe, supportive setting

As a Peer Mentor, you’ll:

Be a role model for positive social interaction

Help campers engage, explore, and have fun

Earn volunteer hours while making real connections

Enjoy pizza Thursdays and lots of laughs!

During Theme Park Week, we’ll bring the thrills of roller coasters, carnival games, and character adventures to life—all while helping our students with autism practice social skills in a high-energy, inclusive environment.

As a Peer Mentor, you’ll:

Model communication and cooperation during group games

Help campers practice turn-taking, conversation, and flexibility

Support students using communication devices or visuals

Encourage participation in rides, relays, and role-play fun

Earn volunteer hours, make new friends, and enjoy pizza Thursdays!

Peer Mentors Needed – Let’s Surf Through Social Skills!

Get ready to soak up the sun and dive into a week of waves, water, and working together! During Beach Week, you’ll help campers with autism build friendships, practice communication, and “surf” through social situations—all while having a totally awesome time.

As a Peer Mentor, you’ll:

Model turn-taking during beach games and team activities

Support students using AAC devices or visuals to express wants and needs

Help campers feel safe and included during Water Wednesday fun

Encourage conversation, cooperation, and creativity

Earn volunteer hours, enjoy pizza Thursdays, and be the reason someone feels confident in the sun!

🌊 No sunscreen required—just your energy, kindness, and leadership.

Each week, our students and peer mentors dive into vacation-themed adventures—from beach days and camping fun to theme parks and tropical getaways—all while learning to survive social situations through structured play, communication practice, and peer interaction.
